‘Vaada Raha... I Promise’ is a kind of emotional drama with the happy ending. Except some typical Bollywood flaws, the movie is ok. The movie fails to execute the potential of the storyline. ‘Vaada Raha... I Promise’ revolves around the life of a successful doctor- Duke Chawla (played by Bobby Deol).
Duke is on the peak in every field in his personal and professional life. He is a flourishing surgeon who is doing research on cancer. He is engaged to a beautiful girl, Nalini (Kangna Ranaut). But with a flash of light everything changes.
He meets an accident which leaves him paralyzed. He leaves all hope and becomes a difficult patient for hospital staff always refusing to take medicines. Roshan (Dwij Yadav) comes in his life. After initial detest, Duke likes the boy who is himself suffering from terminal illness. He lights up the dark hopeless world of Duke with hope and life.
