Bollywood Star - Are Amrita and Mohit at war?

Tinsel town is abuzz with the gossip that Mohit Suri and Amrita Rao are not looking into each others eyes as the actor has declined two of the film-maker's films - first Raaz 2 and now a romantic film that is being written by Mahesh Bhatt. Amrita's decision has not gone down well with Mohit who has provided hit films at the box office.An insider says, "Mohit and Amrita were in touch for sometime and he was looking to rope her in for a couple of films, but things did not work out. Amrita never really took up any of his projects. It's her decision which films she should do but Mohit got frustrated in the process. It all started during Raaz which she refused. Now, when she refused the film being written by Mahesh Bhatt, it was the last straw for Mohit. He is very upset and disappointed at Amrita and has already cast a new girl for the role. The relationship they shared is also strained."

Amrita says, "Mohit is a dear friend and he had offered me Raaz. But post that there has been no offer from his side."

But Mohit confirmed to After Hrs that he had made a second offer to sign her for his forthcoming film. He reveals: "Yes, (I had offered her a film which she has refused). I don't know why. Ask her. She wanted more time to decide. I could not wait. So, I've signed a new girl. I'm not upset with her. I never worked with her or know her that well to have a fall out. I'm just really excited about this film and can't wait to start it. It's a film Mahesh Bhatt is writing for me after Woh Lamhe. I will begin shooting this September."

He adds: "But honestly I amicably asked her not to do my film because I felt she was hesitant and I realised that we think differently about films. My film requires the actress to carry the burden of the film on her shoulders and the last thing I would want is someone who is in two minds towards it."Now it's up to you to choose whose version you want to believe!
